Cody – The actor, The mountain biker and the “Maker”.

1WO found an interesting character to help with announcements. Cody doesn’t just do the talking in our videos, he is a man of of many skills. His passion for mountain biking extends to creating his own gear for the sport, named YETTI MTN WORKS. For a while now, Cody has made custom slim line “frame bags” for mountain bikes. All of it is custom work made from templates for individual bikes. This accommodates the various gear and mechanical configurations found across models.

The materials used are durable and the construction and sewing skills used to create the frame bags are top notch. Always on the look out for cool & useful gear, these frame bags gave us an idea. Could the same polished and stream lined design work in the roll cages of your Overland vehicle?

That is how the “CODY BAG CHALLENGE” came about. Starting with a template prepared from cardboard like the Mountain Bike Bags are, let’s see if Cody can create a cool, sturdy and functional bag for vehicles. The bags are designed to keep a narrow profile so that they do not get caught on things like rocks and limbs. Their width is about the same as the bike frame. The object of this challenge will be to see if these same characteristics can be built into the design for vehicles.

Part 1 – Cody will demonstrate how to make a template for a mountain bike taking into account the accessories and bike components to create a custom frame bag for a Mountain Bike. Then,

those template skills will be transferred to an off-road vehicle with a roll bar. Right now we are looking at creating a bag for a Defender, and a Jeep. COMING SOON!
